The Czech Republic is situated in Central Europe and is a member state of the European Union, Nato and it is also member of United Nations. It borders with Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Austria. There live about 10 million inhabitants. The capital and largest city is Prague. There are two large regions, Bohemia and Moravia. The Czech Republic is democratic state. President Vaclav Klaus is the head of the state and the Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek is the head of the govermment.
I have lived in The Czech Republic since I was born. I like this country. But it is not perfect because people are sometimes wrong and environment in the Czech Repubilc is rather bad. Some people can’t see these problems, because they don’t know that it can be better. But I know better people and cleaner environment in different countries. I have been for example to France, Germany and the US. I still like this country because it is my home and it is the most important for me. When I come back here from some long journey I feel so good inside. The Czech Republic is very interesting country as well. We can go skiing to the mountains in winter and swimming to a lot of pounds and swimming pools in summer, because there are four seasons of the year – spring, summer, automn and winter. There are nice castles and other historical monuments, for example Buchlov, Karlštejn, Bouzov, Bezděs, Lednice etc. The Czech Repubic has beautiful nature as well. I live in Pustiměř and around Pustiměř there is a large forest. The
